EMAL News Volume 3 (Wednesday, March 22nd, 2000)

• Scott Johnson of JEOL is busy installing the new JEOL 2010F AEM. This image was recorded from the EMAL 2010F WebCam on Wednesday March 22, 2000, at 9:05 AM.

  

• Scott is conditioning the gun system and expects a beam down the column by the end of the week.

• The following 2 weeks will be taken up with testing of the instrument and then installation of the STEM unit.

• The week of April 10, 2000 will probably see the instalation of the Gatan GIF and EDAX XEDS systems. At that time the GIF will be removed from the JEOL4000EX and a CCD TV camera and an image intensified TV-rate camera will be installed.
