EMAL News Volume 7 (Summer 2004)

• The website has been reformatted and updated to reflect the current status of the lab (special thanks to Henry Yu, a lab assistant during summer 2004).

• A new sputter and carbon coater has been installed in Room 422, replacing the aged coater that was previous located there. Click here for the handbook.

• Five new eMacs (running OS X) for e-mail, web access, image editing, and general office work are now available in the following labs:
  • JEOL 2010F - Room 431
  • JEOL 3011 - Room 429
  • XL30 FEG - Room 432
  • Nova Nanolab/XPS 5400 - Room 426
  • Nanoprobes AFM - Room 415

  IMPORTANT!
  Please, for the sake of the analysis computers and the sanity of the EMAL staff (especially Dr. John Mansfield) check your e-mail on these computers only! This lessens the amount of time the staff needs to repair a downed analysis computer, thus giving us more time to assist you with the equipments.
